Resumen de El Paradigma Reinante y su Paideia

En el marco de las Ciencias Humanas un paradigma es un modelo de la realidad en la que estamos inmersos y como tal genera su propia paideia. En este artículo nos preguntamos cuál es el paradigma que ha creado la paideia del siglo XX y respondemos que el paradigma evolutivo. Con él se ha introducido la dimensión temporal de evolución y tránsito y así mismo, el elemento narrativo, �recapitulador� e histórico en el conocimiento. Proponemos que si el elemento narrativo orienta el currículum escolar lo que debe recapitularse en las unidades didácticas es la historia de las capacidades humanas para dar sentido al universo y no sólo lo que �sobrevivió� desde el punto de vista evolutivo-científico.

In the humanistic sciences a paradigm is a model of the reality that surrounds us and as such creates its own paideia. This article argues that the paideia of the 20th century was created by an evolutionary paradigm. This introduced into consciousness the temporal dimension of evolution and transit, as well as the �recapitulating� and historical narrative element. The article proposes that if the narrative element directs the scholastic curriculum, what the pedagogical units should do is to recapitulate the history of human skills in order to give meaning to the universe, and not merely that which has �survived� from an evolutionary and scientific point of view.
