    This study tries to outline the main problems which the landscape in modern Geography faces. Firtstly, reference is made to the historic problem: the experience of clasical Geography on the subject, which has passed on an inherently contradictory theory and, above all, in practice, due to the deficiencies in the methodology. Later, the main directions of current landscape surveys are examined and it is attempted to deduce as far as possible their degree of significance in the modern world.

    Cet étude essaye un schéma des principaux problemes du concept paysage dans la géographie actuelle. L'auteur étudie, premierement, le probleme historique: l'expérience de la géographie "classique" a laissé l'heredité de une théorie contradictoire par soi-meme et avec déficiences de méthodologie. Finalement le travail développe les principaux orientations des études paysagistes actuels et ses aplications.
