  En este artículo se hace un recorrido por las distintas formas de percibir y entender el patrimonio cultural que se han producido a lo largo de la historia. El enfoque pretende ser amplio e interdisciplinar, con el fin de facilitar la comprensión dcl concepto de patrimonio como algo relativo, que se ha ido construyendo a lo largo de los siglos mediante un complejo proceso de atribución de valores, sometido a continuos cambios de gusto y al propio dinamismo de las sociedades. Como conclusión se analizan las ideas más actuales acerca del patrimonio cultural, a la luz de las distintas disciplinas e instituciones que se han ocupado de su estudio.

  This article deals with the different ways of noticing and comprehending the cultural heritage produced all along the History. This approach tries to be wide and multidisciplinar with the aim of making easier the understanding of the concept of heritage as something relative, build up all along the centuries through a complex process of enhagement. The values of heritage have been submitted to continuous changes of fashion and to the dynamism of societies. As a conclusion the most current ideas about the cultural heritage are analised, according to the point of view of the different sciences and institutions that have dealt with its study.
