Abstract
Relaxation and meditation techniques are being introduced in the classroom because of the benefits that are being verified through different scientific studies and in practice. More and more studies are aimed at checking how these practices influence different variables that improve student learning and teaching practice. The thesis presented analyzes, with the population of two educational centers of the Valencian Community (C.E.I.P La Lloma del Mas de Bétera and C.E.I.P Martínez Torres de Aldaia) different variables that can be improved with the application of relaxation and meditation techniques in the classroom. The variables studied are the classroom climate, the level of attention of the students and the relaxing capacity of them. The study also focuses on teachers, analyzing the influence of relaxation techniques on the level of teacher stress and the applicability of classroom techniques. In order to carry out the study, a previous training has been developed with the teaching staff in relaxation and meditation techniques and, subsequently, its application has been developed in the classroom by the teaching staff. The development of the intervention has been carried out through a psychopedagogical intervention through a collaborative consultation and program intervention. To evaluate the entire process, both quantitative methodologies have been used, finding significant statistical results and qualitative methodology that informs us in detail of the thoughts and feelings throughout the process. From the data obtained, it has been confirmed that the application of relaxation and meditation techniques in the classroom improves the classroom climate, the level of attention of the students, increases the relaxing capacity of the students and improves the levels of teacher stress. Therefore, the applicability of relaxation and meditation techniques in the classroom is confirmed.
