Abstract
The interest in research about this subject, underlies in that the water resource is among structural and economic tensions of contemporary capitalism, and at the same time, antagonistic inequalities between social classes, which are being confronted in the struggle for access and water management; since extractive development model and acumulation by dispossession considers nature, and the water resource itself, as another commodity to capitalize. Therefore, it is essential to articulate the problems of access to water resources with social movements, through critical analysis of the situation expressed in the Boquerón community in Atenas, because, every day the population does not have during the day with the service water resource in a long time. This situation seriously impacts on human relationships and socio-water needs. It concludes with, the importance of professional intervention of Social Work on the subject.
