Resumen de La construcción del imaginario de la maternidad en occidente. Manifestaciones del imaginario sobre la maternidad en los discursos sobre las nuevas tecnologías de reproducción
La tesis estudia la evolución de las construcciones simbólicas de la maternidad en el contexto cultural de Occidente y su manifestación en el actual discurso informativo a través de un tema: las Nuevas Tecnologías de Reproducción (NTR). Se entiende la maternidad como una variable de relación humana socialmente determinada, y se realizar un desarrollo teórico sobre su puesta en narración social e histórica a través de una argumentación crítica en torno a los principales ejes de significado que la han ido definiendo. Interesa conocer de qué modo perviven en nuestro sistema cultural y a través de los actuales medios de comunicación social los signos de una herencia simbólica redefinida a lo largo del tiempo y cuáles son las aportaciones nuevas. El trabajo cuenta con tres apartados: una primera justificación teórica sobre la maternidad y los conceptos que la atraviesan (poder, patriarcado, género, naturaleza, cuerpo etc.), una segunda argumentación en torno a la evolución de las imágenes sobre la maternidad en Occidente y finalmente un análisis de la información sobre las NTR con tres ejemplos extraídos del diario El País. Este último apartado ilustra lo argumentado en los apartados anteriores a través del análisis de textos de actualidad y en un discurso, el informativo, que resulta el más adecuado para verificar cómo se filtra esa herencia cultural sobre las figuras de la maternidad.en el orden de la palabra socialmente legitimada e institucionalizada del periodismo, El método de análisis presta atención a varias perspectivas (comunicación de masas, sociología, antropología y análisis del discurso) pero está guiado por la preocupación de una serie de cuestiones comunes: análisis de la representación de categorías ideológicas, relación con el imaginario social, función especular de los discursos dominantes, manifestación del sujeto, entre otros. La lectura propuesta es deudora de las aportaciones metodológicas de la teoría interdisciplinar feminista y crítica y de los estudios culturales, que permiten una aproximación al espacio de interpretación hermenéutico-retórico aportado desde estas teorías.
The thesis studies the evolution of the symbolic constructions of the maternity in the cultural context of Occident and its demonstration in the current informative speech across a topic: the New Technologies of Reproduction (NTR). The maternity is understood as a variable of human socially certain relation, and a theoretical development to be realized on its putting in social and historical story across a critical argumentation concerning the principal axes of meaning that have been defining her. It does interested in know about what way the signs of a symbolic inheritance re-defined along the time remain in our cultural system and across the current media of social communication and which are the new contributions. The work relies on three sections: the first is a theoretical justification on the maternity and the concepts that cross her (power, patriarchy, genre, nature, body etc.), the second, is a line of argument concerning the evolution of the images on the maternity in West and finally an analysis of the information on the NTR with three examples extracted from the diary El País. The latter section illustrates the argued in the previous paragraphs across the analysis of texts of current importance and in a speech, the informative one, which turns out to be most adapted to verify how this cultural inheritance filters on the images of the maternity, in the order of the word socially legitimized and institutionalized of the journalism.
The method of analysis gives attention to several perspectives (mass comunication, sociology, anthropology and analysis of the speech) but it is guided by the worry of a series of common questions: analysis of the representation of ideological categories, relation with the imaginary social one, function to speculate of the domineering speeches, manifestation of the subject, among others. The proposed reading is a debtor of the methodological contributions of the theory to interdiscipline feminist and critique and of the cultural studies, which allow an approximation to the hermeneutic-rhetoricalspace of interpretation contributed from these theories.
