En 1848 entró en circulación la primera línea de ferrocarril en España. Desde aquel momento, y especialmente a partir de la aprobación de la Ley General de Ferrocarriles de 1855, un gran número de compañías privadas expandieron la red.Esta novedosa tecnología revolucionó el transporte de pasajeros y mercancías, permitiendo una mayor integración de mercados. Además, fue uno de cimientos sobre los que se erigió el Estado Liberal. Por ello, la relevancia del ferrocarril en el pasado y presente de España es innegable. Esta tesis busca comprender mejor el impacto de la infraestructura, con especial atención a suvinculación y efectos en el territorio. Para ello, planteamos 2 hipótesis y 3 objetivos a los que daremosrespuesta a lo largo de los 3 Capítulos que forman la investigación.
In 1848, the first railway line entered into service in Spain. From that moment, and especially after the approval of the General Law of Railways of 1855, a large number of privately owned companies expanded the network. This novel technology revolutionized passenger and freight transport, allowing greater market integration. Furthermore, it was one of the foundations on which the Liberal State was built.Therefore, the relevance of railways in the past and present of Spain is undeniable. This research seeks to better understand the impact of the infrastructure, with special attention to its link and effects on the territory. To do this, we propose 2 hypotheses and 3 objectives to which we will respond throughout the 3 Chapters that make up the investigation.
