Resumen de El Ovidius moralizatus de Pierre Bersuire: texto, traducción y estudio

El principal objetivo de esta tesis es ofrecer un estudio tanto ecdótico como mitógrafico del Ovidius moralizatus. A partir de tal estudio también hemos podido establecer una actualización del texto latino, y en paralelo a este texto presentamos la primera traducción al castellano del tratado desde el s. XIV. Además, después del texto y la traducción de cada libro añadimos una serie de notas aclaratorias sobre el texto en sí mismo y sus posibles fuentes. En lo relativo al estudio, en primer lugar y tras una breve presentación del autor y la obra, discutimos las diferentes teorías que intentaban explicar las fases de redacción de la obra para aportar a continuación nuestra visión sobre el tema. Seguidamente, ofrecemos el listado actualizado de todos los manuscritos que contienen el texto y describimos desde el punto de vista del contenido textual aquellos que hemos podido consultar (alrededor de unos 50). Posteriormente, procedemos a la exposición de nuestra teoría sobre el origen de la editio princeps de la obra en 1509 y señalamos las diferencias textuales que existen entre tal edición y lo que se lee manuscritos, destacando el trabajo de un reelaborador que modificó el texto original de los manuscritos al prepararlo para la impresión. Finalmente, tratamos de mostrar las posibles fuentes mitográficas de la Antigüedad tardía y la Edad Media de las que se sirvió Bersuire, entre las que tendría especial relevancia, además de los comentarios medievales a las Metamorfosis, el Liber de natura deorum, un tratado que no había sido aún puesto en relación con el Ovidius moralizatus.

The main purpose of this thesis is to offer a study of Pierre Bersuire's Ovidius moralizatus, which includes ecdotic and mythographic analysis. Derived from that study of the text we propound a revision of the Latin text of the treatise, and this is accompanied by the first Spanish translation since the fifteenth century. Some notes are also added at the end of each book, which try to explain the text and the use of the sources. Referring to the study, we first present both author and the work, continuing with the discussion of the previous theories about the composition of the text, which ends with the exposition of our point of view about the topic. We also update the list of known manuscripts of the treatise and we comment each one of the codices that we have checked from the perspective of its textual content. Followingly, we put forward our theory about the origin of the text of the first printed edition of the Ovidius moralizatus and we point out the textual differences between that edition and the manuscripts, focusing on the figure of a rewriter, which modified the text in order to prepare it for the printed edition. Finally, we try to show the possible mythographical sources for Bersuire, especially those from the Late Antiquity and the Middle Ages. Among them we underline the importance of the Liber de natura deorum, a twelfth-century mythographical treatise that has not been related to the Ovidius moralizatus previously.
