Resumen de Representaciones de la variedad rioplatense en manuales de la escuela primaria en Buenos Aires

La tesis caracteriza la generación de actitudes sobre la variedad del Río de la Plata en las producciones editoriales escolares. Asimismo, determina la eventual incidencia que estas actitudes pudieran tener sobre los procesos de configuración del estándar lingüístico regional a través de la escuela y el lugar que ocupa la variedad rioplatense como variedad estándar. Tanto la recolección de un corpus de 97 manuales escolares, como el análisis aplicado responden a nuestro interés en mostrar la elusión de la variedad y el modo en que las editoriales operan para constituir un público específico del género discursivo que proponen, y que la regulación de la pauta lingüística es interna, es decir, que no proviene de ámbitos estatales.
En la primera sección de la tesis se describe la variedad rioplatense y los fundamentos teóricos del empleo de "representación social", "actitud lingüística" e "ideología" para referirse a esa variedad del español. Luego repasa la configuración de representaciones de la lengua española a lo largo de los 200 años de historia de la nación.
En la segunda parte se analiza el espacio que ocupa la variedad en la construcción del manual escolar como género discursivo y el papel del Estado como regulador de los contenidos y las formas lingüísticas que adoptan los libros de texto de la escuela primaria.
Finalmente, se analiza discursivamente manuales escolares de 4to. a 9no. años de la escuela primaria con el fin de evaluar las decisiones glotopolíticas que toma la industria editorial sobre la lengua en la Argentina.

ABSTRACT:
This thesis characterizes the emergence of the attitudes towards the linguistic variety [dialect] of the Río de la Plata area in school textbooks. Moreover, it determines the possible incidence that these attitudes may have on the configuration processes of the regional linguistic norm through the school and the place that the dialect of the Río de la Plata area occupies as standard variety. A corpus of 97 school textbooks was gathered. This, along with an applied analysis, responds to our interest in showing that the linguistic variety is normally avoided; the way in which the publishing groups work in order to set up a restricted public for the genres that they put forward; and that the linguistic norm regulation is internal, that is to say, it does not originate in state institutions, but in the publishing market.
The first part of the thesis describes the dialect of the Río de la Plata area and the theoretical foundations of the use of the terms "social representation", "linguistic attitude" and "ideology" to refer to that variety of the Spanish language. Then, it goes over the configuration of representations of the Spanish language throughout these 200 years of Argentinean history.
The second part analyses the place that this variety occupies in the organization of the school textbooks as a genre, and the role of the State as regulator of the contents and linguistic forms that the primary school textbooks adopt.
Finally, this thesis analyzes school textbooks from 4th. to 9th grades with the aim of evaluating the glotopolitical decisions that the publishing industry makes about the language in Argentina.
