Resumen de Asesinos en serie: especial referencia al ámbito español
La figura del asesino en serie ha existido desde tiempos inmemoriales, pero no fue hasta los años 80 cuando comenzó a tener una repercusión mundial gracias a las investigaciones llevadas a cabo por el jefe del FBI, Robert K. Ressler. A partir de ese momento, su incidencia en el mundo criminal reviste gran importancia debido a la crueldad con la que estos sujetos cometen sus acciones.
Un asesino en serie es aquella persona que comete un número indeterminado de asesinatos, siendo tres la cifra que se estima mínima para ser considerado como tal por la mayor parte de la doctrina criminológica. Es necesario destacar que, entre los crímenes cometidos, estos individuos experimentan un período de enfriamiento que puede ir desde determinadas horas hasta varios años.
Es importante señalar que estos criminales presentan una tipología característica, siendo clasificados como asesinos en serie organizados, quienes presentan rasgos psicopáticos y realizan una serie de rutinas específicas a la hora de llevar a cabo el acto delictivo; por otro lado, los desorganizados serán aquellos individuos que padecen una alteración psicótica, cometiendo sus acciones sin ser conscientes de la realidad de sus actos; finalmente, los asesinos en serie mixtos son aquellas personas que engloban particularidades propias de los organizados y de los desorganizados.
Dejando a un lado el marco teórico sobre el que se sustenta la primera parte de la tesis, la investigación realizada trata de establecer un perfil de los asesinos en serie que han actuado en España, así como de sus víctimas. Para ello, se han analizado una sucesión de sentencias, extrayendo las variables más representativas de cada uno de los casos estudiados para poder establecer las principales características tanto del autor como de la víctima y de los elementos comunes al delito.
The serial killer figure has existed since the beginning of time, but it was not until the 80's in the twentieth century when it began to have a worldwide impact thanks to the investigations carried out by the FBI's chief, Robert K. Ressler. Since then, its influence within the criminal world is of great importance due to the cruelty with which these individuals commit their actions.
A serial killer is a person who commits an undetermined number of murders, being three the minimum estimated to be considered as such for most of the criminological doctrine. It is necessary to emphasize that, among the crimes committed, these individuals undergo a cooling-off period that can range from just a few hours to several years.
It is important to point out that these criminals show a distinctive typology, being classified as organized serial killers, who present psychopathic traits and perform a series of specific routines when the carry out the criminal action. Moreover, disorganized serial killers will be those individuals who suffer a psychotic alteration, committing their actions without being aware of the reality of their actions. Furthermore, the mixed serial killers are those people who include particularities of both organized and the disorganized serial killers.
Leaving aside the theoretical framework on which the first part of the thesis is supported, the research developed throughout the second part of this thesis seeks to identify a profile of the serial killers who have committed crimes in Spain, as well as their victims. For this purpose, a succession of sentences have been analyzed, drawing the most representative variables of each cases studied in order to establish the main characteristics of both the author and the victim, but also the elements which are common among several crimes.
