A panoramic sight of the problems connected with genetic engineering from a bioethical point of view. Starting from a summarized explanation of the main processes of genetic engineering, the author exposes main applications in medicine, and which are the bioethical problems related with it. These problems have something to do with an ecological ethics and a bussines ethics, because in the genetic engineering there is a great potential for chemical, industrial and pharmaceutical development. An universal sense of justice and solidarity is required for not to use these possibilities as instrument of economical subjection and inequality. In the medical applications of genetic engineering moralists are not so reserved as cientists.
