    La condición científica del Derecho, no tiene aún consenso unánime y el debate entre los pensadores del derecho permanece vigente y con fuerza. Las dificultades en este tema se presentan desde el momento mismo en que se intenta explicitar el concepto y contenido de la �Ciencia del Derecho� pues la propia definición del objeto de la ciencia resulta controvertida. A lo largo de los siglos se han propuesto diferentes visiones acerca de la Ciencia del Derecho, su finalidad y contenido y todas ellas contribuyeron en su formación.

    Existen también tesis negatorias del carácter científico del Derecho.

    Law scientific status has not reached unanimous consent and thinkers still passionately debate about whether law should be considered a science at all. Difficulties arise from the very moment an explanation of the concept and content of the �Science of Law� is attempted since the mere definition of the object of the science remains controversial. Different versions regarding the Science of Law, its purpose and content have been suggested throughout the centuries and all of them had contributed to forming it. On the other hand, some theses refuse to grant Law a scientific character.
