    The objective of this paper is to study the possible theoretical digressions and conceptual references for the study of South American integration, vis-à-vis the historical trajectory of the continent�s liberal political and economic agenda. Therefore, classical and contemporary views of political economy will be presented by revisiting the prerogative of the interdisciplinary debate with the dual purpose of presenting some of these discussions to the Law and, at the same time, objectively look for ways to insert these elements as parameters for theoretical discussions on the theme, in view of the Democratic State concept.

    O objetivo com este trabalho é fazer um ensaio sobre as possíveis digressões teóricas e referenciais conceituais para o estudo da integração sul-americana, vis-à-vis o trajeto histórico da agenda liberal política e econômica no continente. Dessa maneira, serão apresentadas visões clássicas e contemporâneas da Economia Política, revisitando a prerrogativa do debate interdisciplinar com a dupla finalidade de apresentar ao Direito algumas dessas discussões e, ao mesmo tempo, buscar objetivamente inserir seus elementos como parâmetros para discussão teórica sobre a temática, tendo em vista a concepção de Estado Democrático de Direito.
