    Este trabajo ha sido escrito con la intención de presentar un abordaje teórico a los temas y preguntas que se han planteado en los últimos años alrededor de la apuesta postmoderna. Representa un intento de entender los pros y los contras de este tema desde la lectura de la realidad sociocultural latinoamericana. En este contexto, supone el análisis de las distintas posturas que emanan del afán aclaratorio pero todavía confuso y disconforme, que rodea esta tesis del pensamiento y que configura el escenario de un interesante debate de subjetividades en el cual no existe el menor asomo de renuncia a los principios del marxismo y la crítica fundamentada. Se propone además una reflexión acerca de la corriente del pensamiento postmodernista que deriva de ciertas pretensiones occidentales de homologación de la cultura. Este acercamiento se hace con el fin de contribuir con una discusión intelectual que se ha establecido en los círculos concéntricos de la investigación académica y que palpita en los territorios de las publicaciones periódicas con sus pertrechos y argumentaciones.

    This work has been written with the intention to present a theoretical approach on the topics and questions that have appeared in recent years about the postmodern challenge. It represents an attempt to understand the pros and cons of this topic from the appraisal of the Latin-American socio-cultural reality. According to this context, it involves the analysis of the different standpoints that emanate from the explanatory, but still confused and dissatisfied desire that surrounds the Theory of Thought and, at the same time, it sets the scenery for an interesting discussion of subjectivities, in which there is not the slightest hint of resignation to the principles of Marxism and Reasoned Criticism. Therefore, it proposes a reflection on the postmodern position that derives from certain Western pretensions of cultural standardization. This approximation is done in order to contribute to enrich the intelletual discussion that has been established in the concentric circles of the academic research and that throbs in the territories of the periodic publications with its resources and its arguments.
