Resumen de Actualitat contra realitat

Albert Sáez i Casas

  • Faced with the rush to affirm that the massive consumption of audiovisual products means the replacement of the predominant language in advanced societies, this study observes the influence of the audiovisual narrative in contemporary journalism. Specifically it deals with how various factors have contributed to the deconstruction of the myth of objective journalism: the replacement of the inverted pyramid by the textual model, the crisis of reality as a news reference and the appearance of the new journalism of a surrealistic nature. In this triple perspective, special attention is paid to the progressive importance of television in the Western information system and to the parallel loss of influence of newspapers.
