García Ramírez de Villaescusa [died 1506] was a character who joined the circles linked to the ecclesiastical government, reaching important heights of power. He followed an ascending career in such a way that he became prior of San Marcos de León, presided over the original Council of Orders. And even the Catholic Monarchs, ended up integrating him into their council, ending his days as Bishop of Oviedo. We intend to roughly configure a biographical profile of the character through the existing documentation. On the other hand, we will try to establish relationships with relevant figures from the Castilian power elites. We also hope that it will serve as a first approximation, a starting point and an invitation to future research that will help us clarify the various aspects that affect his figure.
