Evolución de la Investigación Cualitativa en revistas españolas

    La enfermería como disciplina con objetivo holístico, humanístico y componente tecnológico, tiene como fuente de evidencia para atender al individuo la investigación científica.

    Tradicionalmente se ha utilizado el enfoque cuantitativo para resolver la pregunta de investigación pero, a partir de los años ochenta, para abarcar la parte holística del individuo, se desarrolló la investigación cualitativa.

    Este trabajo pretende describir la evolución de la investigación cualitativa en el período 2005-2010.

    Para ello, basándonos en el factor de impacto propuesto por la Fundación Índex, se revisaron los artículos originales de las seis revistas españolas con más Repercusión (Impacto), siguiendo un diseño cuantitativo, descriptivo y retrospectivo.

    La muestra obtenida fue de 334 artículos de los cuales 230 (68,86%) eran investigación cuantitativa, 98 (29.34%) investigación cualitativa y 6 (1.79%) investigación mixta.

    El análisis de los datos mostró un avance de la investigación cualitativa, ya que ésta evoluciona, sobre todo en 2010, siendo la fenomenología y la etnografía los diseños más utilizados.

    Merece mención el hecho de que no se ha podido clasificar un número importante de artículos por no aparecer en ellos explícitos la metodología en el apartado correspondiente de un artículo original

    Nursing as a discipline with holistic objective, humanistic and technological component is a source of evidence to meet the individual scientific research. Traditionally has been used in quantitative approach to solve the research question, but from the eighties to encompass the holistic part of persons, qualitative research was developed.

    This paper aims to describe the evolution of qualitative research in 2005-2010. To do this, based on the repercussion (impact) factor proposed by the Foundation Index is reviewed original articles and six Spanish journals of greater impact.

    We worked with a quantitative, descriptive and retrospective design.

    The sample obtained was 334 articles of which 230 (68.86%) were quantitative research, 98 (29.34%) qualitative research, and 6 (1.79%) mixed research.

    The analysis of the data showed an improvement of qualitative research as it evolves, especially in 2010, being the phenomenology and ethnography most widely used designs.

    Noteworthy is the fact that failed to classify a large number of items not listed in them explicit methodology in the relevant section of an original article.
