Antonio escohotado y sus amigos del comercio: Keynes y Hayek.

    Antonio Escohotado hizo algunas referencias a su vinculación intelectual con Friedrich Hayek, tanto por lo que se refiere a su liberalismo político como a su visión acerca del orden espontáneo como organizador de instituciones sociales. De ahí que Escohotado describiese la situación de ambos como cercana al socialismo evolutivo. Lo que podría resultar paradójico en referencia a un pensador como Hayek. Pero en este artículo mostraremos la evolución intelectual de Hayek hacia los postulados ordoliberales de la alemana Escuela de Friburgo liderada por Walter Eucken. Un desarrollo parecido pero inverso al que llevó a Antonio Escohotado desde unos inicios en la extrema izquierda hacia posiciones liberales centradas, en las que compaginaba a Hayek con Keynes en un eclecticismo libre de dogmatismos de escuelas sectarias. En concreto, se analizará la imposición por parte del Estado de límites al poder empresarial que amenaza (cárteles, monopolios) con destruir la economía de mercado desde dentro. Por otro lado, una inequívoca preocupación humanista por los más vulnerables, lo que lleva a plantear una legítima justicia social en clave liberal.

    Antonio Escohotado made some references to his intellectual links with Friedrich Hayek, both in terms of his political liberalism and his vision of spontaneous order as the organiser of social institutions. Hence Escohotado described both as being close to evolutionary socialism. This might seem paradoxical regarding a thinker like Hayek. But in this article we will show Hayek's intellectual evolution towards the ordoliberal postulates of the German Freiburg School led by Walter Eucken. A similar but inverse development to the one that led Antonio Escohotado from his beginnings on the extreme left towards centrist liberal positions, in which he combined Hayek with Keynes in an eclecticism free of the dogmatism of sectarian schools. In particular, the imposition by the state of limits on corporate power that threatens (cartels, monopolies) to destroy the market economy from within will be analysed. On the other hand, an unequivocal humanist concern for the most vulnerable, which leads to a legitimate social justice in a liberal key.
