Resumen de Una escritura alusiva: el Castruccio Castracani de Nicolás Maquiavelo

  Este artículo tiene como objetivo analizar la figura de Castruccio Castracani de Nicolás Maquiavelo quien desarrolla una particular escritura que es necesario seguir de cerca: a partir de este análisis podemos encontrar insumos para interrogar cómo operan los liderazgos en la obra maquiaveliana y cómo los líderes interactúan con el pueblo a través de un círculo pasional que se genera entre ambos. A estos efectos, procederemos en este artículo del siguiente modo: en primer lugar, restableceremos la historia que reconstruye Maquiavelo en torno a la figura de Castruccio. Solo una vez proporcionada esta reconstrucción nos dirigiremos al tratamiento de los ejes temáticos que resultan relevantes con el fin de pensar el liderazgo maquiaveliano. Por último, presentaremos las conclusiones de nuestro trabajo: a través del análisis sistemático de Castruccio se indaga cómo se construye una noción de “liderazgo maquiaveliano”. La especificidad de los liderazgos en Maquiavelo está dada en cómo se reconoce al pueblo como interlocutor válido, esto es, no de una manera manipuladora, perversa u opresora, sino como condición de la propia posibilidad del liderazgo.

  The aim of this article is to analyze the references that Niccolò Machiavelli makes on the figure of Castruccio Castracani. Machiavelli develops a particular writing, which must be followed closely: based on his analysis, we may find tools to examine how leaderships operate in his work, and how leaders interact with the people through a passionate circle that is generated between them. I have organized this paper in the following way: firstly, I shall sequentially restore Castruccio’s story in Machiavelli’s work. Once this is done, I shall focus on the treatment of the relevant concepts in order to address the Machiavellian notion of leadership. Finally, I shall present the conclusions: through the systematic analysis of Castruccio I explore how the notion of “Machiavellian leadership” is built. The specific feature of the concept of l e a d e r s h i p i n M a c h i a v e l l i i s t h e acknowledgment of the people as a valid interlocutor; that is, not in a manipulative, perverse or oppressive way, but as a condition of the possibility of leadership.
