  Formar en investigación básica y clínica resulta esencial en la educación de los estudiantes del Grado en Medicina si queremos conseguir un adecuado desarrollo de su actividad profesional. En este trabajo se analiza la percepción que tienen estos alumnos sobre la investigación científica, buscando desarrollar una actividad docente que la potencie. Con este objetivo, se ha realizado una encuesta de 10 preguntas, basadas en el estudio IX EPSCYT (Encuesta de Percepción Social de la Ciencia y la Tecnología) del 2018, a los alumnos de segundo curso de Medicina. Los alumnos han manifestado un amplio interés por temas científicos, sin embargo, la realización de actividades de esta índole ha sido insuficiente. Internet emerge como el medio más utilizado para informarse sobre ciencia, y sólo una minoría admite consultar medios de comunicación especializados. Preocupa la percepción de la profesión investigadora que tiende a veces a ser hostil. Además, aunque se observa cierta valoración de los profesores que desarrollan esta actividad, hay un gran desconocimiento de científicos en activo que puedan servir de modelo e inspiración. En conclusión, aunque la institución universitaria es una de las principales vías de conocimiento científico, resultan insuficientes las actividades de este tipo llevadas a cabo y no hay una buena percepción de la carrera investigadora.

  To train in clinic and basic research is essential in the education of Medicine students if we want to achieve an adequate development of their professional activity. In this work, we analyze the perception that these students have about scientific research, looking for developing a teaching activity that boost it. With this objective, a 10-question survey has been conducted, based on the IX EPSCYT study (Survey of Science and Technology Social Perception) from 2018, to second year Medicine students. The students have shown a wide interest for scientific topics, however, the realization of activities of this nature has been insufficient. Internet arises as the most used way to be informed about science, and only a minority admits consult specialized media. It worries the perception of the research career, which sometimes tend to be hostile. Moreover, although some assessment of the professionals who develop this activity is observed, there is a huge unknowing of active scientifics who can be a model and inspiration. In conclusion, although the university institution is one of the main ways of research knowledge, the developed activities of this topic result insufficient and there is not a good perception of the research career.
