    El individuo está en constante búsqueda de conocimiento para dar respuesta a incógnitas y necesidades de la realidad social. En este contexto el docente está llamado a desarrollar habilidades para producir conocimiento, investigar y vincular el ser con el hacer apoyado en competencias investigativas impulsadoras de su actuación. El propósito del estudio fue generar reflexiones en torno a competencias investigativas presentes en la gestión docente del psicólogo. El presente ensayo se sustenta en el análisis a una revisión documental del tema, se reflexionó en torno a cuatro competencias investigativas fundamentales que son la escritural, discursiva, analítica e interpretativa. Así, la gestión docente del psicólogo otorga prioridad a las investigativas que contribuyen en habilidades de pensamiento crítico, responsabilidad social, manejo de tecnologías, creatividad e innovación y afectividad. El Psicólogo en su gestión docente, debe mostrar competencias específicas y transversales inherentes a su profesión enriqueciendo su función como promotor de saberes.

    The people are in constant search of knowledge to respond to the unknowns and needs of social reality. In this context, teachers are called upon to develop skills to produce knowledge, investigate and link being with doing, supported by investigative competencies that drive their performance. The purpose of the study was to generate reflections on research competencies present in the teaching management of psychologists. This essay is based on the analysis of a documentary review of the subject, reflecting on four fundamental research competencies that are scriptural, discursive, analytical and interpretative. Thus, the psychologist's teaching management gives priority to research that contributes to critical thinking skills, social responsibility, technology management, creativity and innovation, and affectivity. The Psychologist, in his/her teaching management, must show specific and transversal competencies inherent to his/her profession, enriching his/her function as a promoter of knowledge.
