Las interpretaciones míticas de los ciervos se suceden desde las religiones primitivas y, más concretamente, desde los vestigios arqueológicos y los primeros testimonios literarios conservados: sumerios, indoarios, hititas, la Biblia... A partir de estos datos y, particularmente, de las investigaciones realizadas por los participantes en este monográfico, se traza el itinerario esquemático de lo que puede ser una historia de sus adaptaciones hasta el siglo XVI.

Mythical interpretations of the deer have occurred since the times of early religions and, more specifically, in archeological vestiges and the first preserved literary witnesses: Sumerians, Indo-Aryans, Hittites, the Bible…Using these facts as a point of departure and taking into account in particular the research done by the participants in this monographic volume, one could trace the schematic itinerary of what would be a history of the adaptations of deer imagery up to the sixteenth century.
