Resumen de Increasing the Elastic Properties of Gypsum Materials by Reinforcing with Terephthalate Polyethylene (PET)

Razvan Bogdan Itu, Bogdan Ioan Marc

  • The paper studies the possibility of using strips obtained from plastic bottles through mechanical processes, which by creating nets from this material could be armed and cast in three samples. The paper presents the mechanical tests that were carried out on the three gypsum samples, one without insertion and two with one and two layers of insertion. The values obtained as a result of the mechanical process of breaking by bending demonstrated that the PET reinforcement sample increased its elasticity. The mechanical recycling of plastic bottles transformed in sheets can be used in increasing the elasticity coefficient of gyp- sum based construction materials in the future.
