  El acercamiento a las actividades del II Congreso Nacional de Pediatría, que se celebró en San Sebastián entre el 4 y el 7 de Septiembre de 1923, se puede realizar de muchas maneras. Una de ellas es a través de la prensa local que, además de refl ejar una información diferente de la recogida en los libros de actas del Congreso, indica la repercusión que el mismo tuvo en la sociedad donostiarra. Hay aspectos lúdicos, con lo que se obsequió a los congresistas en los que no entraremos, circunscribiéndonos a los datos de actividades científicas abiertas a la población a las que asistieron multitud de donostiarras y que tuvieron una notable repercusión en la prensa local.

  One can examine the activities of the 2nd National Conference on Paediatrics that was held in San Sebastián from 4 to 7 September 1923, from many different angles. One is through the articles published in the local press, which in addition to reporting information that is different from that outlined in the Conference minutes, also gives a clear view of the repercussion of the gathering on San Sebastián society. The articles describe some leisure-related aspects (gifts given to the conference delegates, etc.) that we will not explore here, focusing instead on the details of the scientifi c activities and events that were open to the general public, and which were attended by many local residents. These activities were widely reported by the local press.
