  En este artículo se presenta un cambio de perspectiva en la educación moral que se ha producido a partir del cambio de siglo. En primer lugar, se trata la relación entre emoción y moral a lo largo de la historia, donde autores como Spinoza, Hume y Adam Smith sentaron las bases de la moral en las emociones. Con la llegada del racionalismo con Kant y después con el predominio del conductismo en psicología, las emociones pasan a ser ignoradas. En el siglo XX, la educación moral ha tenido un enfoque eminentemente cognitivo, basado en gran medida en las aportaciones de Piaget y de Kohlberg. No es hasta entrado el siglo XXI cuando se produce una revolución emocional en el estudio de la moral, cuyos representantes más significativos son Gilligan, Greene, Haidt y Prinz, entre otros. Se presentan las aportaciones de estos autores para configurar el marco de las emociones morales y sus aplicaciones a la educación emocional y moral.

  This paper presents a change of perspective in moral education concurring since the turn of the century. First, it discusses the relationship between emotion and morality throughout history, where authors such as Spinoza, Hume, and Adam Smith laid the foundations of morality in emotions. With the arrival of rationalism with Kant and, later, with the predominance of behaviorism in psychology, emotions are ignored. In the 20th century, moral education had an eminently cognitive approach, based largely on the contributions of Piaget and Kohlberg. It was not until the 21st century that an emotional revolution took place in the study of morality, whose most significant representatives are Gilligan, Greene, Haidt, and Prinz, among others. The contributions of these authors are presented in order to configure the framework of moral emotions and their applications to emotional and moral education.
