  La financiación participativa, también conocida como crowdfunding, es un método de finan-ciación no bancaria que se caracteriza por la agrupación de potenciales inversores a través de internet para financiar un proyecto.Este artículo introducirá el concepto, denominación, historia y evolución de la financiación participativa. A continuación, se diferencian las distintas modalidades del término, que son imprescindibles para poder analizar su naturaleza legal, económica, fiscal y contable.Respecto a la naturaleza contable de la figura, se concluye que no existe una única forma de registrar la financiación participativa, sino que el tratamiento contable es distinto para cada una de las cinco diferentes modalidades.

  Crowdfunding is a non-banking financing method that is characterized by the grouping of potential investors through the Internet to finance a project.This article will introduce the concept, name, history and evolution of crowdfunding. Next, the different modalities of the term are differentiated, which are essential to be able to analyze its legal, economic, fiscal and accounting nature.Regarding the accounting nature of the figure, it is concluded that there is no single way to record crowdfunding, but rather the accounting treatment is different for each of the five different modalities.
