Amb aquest treball tracte de donar a conéixer l’existència de nombroses obres teatrals de caràcter popular amb temàtica taurina. Presente un recull que inclou unes quantes d’aquestes obres, gairebé tot sainets o joguines còmiques, unes en prosa i altres en vers, al llarg de les quals veiem l’afició als bous, l’intent d’arribar a ser torero, la maldat d’alguns toreros i la decepció quan s’adonen que no tenen valor per posar-se davant del bou. Intente amb això reivindicar la festa dels bous com una expressió d’arrels totalment populars.

With this work I try to make known the existence of numerous theatrical works of a popular nature with a bullfighting theme. I present a collection that includes a few of these works, almost all sainets or comic toys, some in prose and others in verse, throughout which we see the fondness for bulls, the attempt to become a bullfighter, the wickedness of some bullfighters and the disappointment when they realize they don’t have the courage to stand in front of the bull. With this, I try to claim the festival of the bulls as an expression of totally popular roots.
