El cordón frutihortícola de General Pueyrredon es uno de los más relevantes de Argentina en términos productivos. Posee más de setecientas explotaciones donde el trabajo se lleva a cabo de forma familiar y/ o a través de la mediería. A su vez, al igual que sucede en otros cordones verdes del país, cuenta con una gran presencia de trabajadores bolivianos e hijos de bolivianos. La mediería es relevante para la inserción laboral de las personas de la colectividad y, aunque es una forma de trabajo ampliamente difundida en la horticultura, no está regulada. En consecuencia, su utilización genera problemas entre los productores y los agentes judiciales que se dedican a buscar irregularidades en los procesos de trabajo. En este artículo, analizamos los sentidos que adquieren las migraciones y lo que se entiende como la “cultura” del lugar de origen en los discursos de unos y otros. Examinaremos tanto los sentidos que los agentes judiciales que circulan en el cordón frutihortícola de General Pueyrredon le otorgan a la migración y a la cultura, como también los que establecen los mismos migrantes que trabajan allí. Como mostraremos, a través de esos discursos se producen jerarquías entre migrantes y nativos que resultan en desigualdades para quienes se desempeñan en el sector.

The fruit and vegetable chain of General Pueyrredon is one of the most relevant in Argentina in terms of production. It has more than seven hundred farms where work is carried out in a family way and/or through sharecropping. In turn, as happens in other green belts in the country, it has a large presence of Bolivian workers and children of Bolivians. Sharecropping is relevant for the employment of people in the community, and although it is a widely spread form of work in horticulture, it is not regulated. Consequently, its use generates problems between the producers and the judicial agents who are dedicated to looking for irregularities in the work processes. In this article, we analyze the meanings that migrations acquire and what is understood as the "culture" of the place of origin in the discourses of one and the other. We will analyze both the meanings that the judicial agents who circulate in the fruit and vegetable chain of General Pueyrredon give to migration and culture, as well as those established by the same migrants who work there. As we will show, through these discourses, hierarchies are produced between migrants and natives that result in inequalities for those who work in the sector.
