Resumen de A mulher na sociedade e na Ciência da Informação

  It deals with the contributions of women in Society and in Information Science, based on the approaches of the literature in the area and other related areas, considering that the discussion and awareness of this social issue is urgente. Collaborating with this relevant debate was the objective of preparing this text, as a record of the lecture held in 2022 at the VI PPGCI Students and Graduates Forum (FDECIN). Addresses women’s historical struggles; the contributions of some of the leading women in Information Science and the struggles and challenges posed to women in contemporary society and in the scientific field of Information Science. It highlights historically denied social rights, such as access to education and voting, which were the object of resistance and struggle to gain respect for women as social subjects and, therefore, as subjects of rights. In summary, the text seeks to demonstrate that women’s struggles are historical, spanning centuries and scientific fields, and that all these struggles represent resilient resistance against barriers that aim to contain revolutionary social changes in favor of social inclusion.

  Trata das contribuições das mulheres na sociedade e na Ciência da Informação, a partir das abordagens da literatura da área e de outras áreas afins, considerando que a discussão e tomada de consciência dessa questão social é urgente. Colaborar com este debate relevante foi o objetivo da elaboração deste texto, como registro da palestra realizada em 2022 no VI Fórum de Discentes e Egressos do PPGCI (FDECIN). Aborda lutas históricas das mulheres; as contribuições de algumas das mulheres referenciais da Ciência da Informação e as lutas e os desafios postos às mulheres na sociedade contemporânea e no campo científico da Ciência da Informação. Destaca os direitos sociais historicamente negados, como o acesso à educação e o exercício do voto, que foram objeto de resistência e luta para a conquista do respeito à condição da mulher de sujeito social e, portanto, sujeito de direitos. Em síntese o texto busca demonstrar que as lutas das mulheres são históricas, perpassando os séculos e os campos científicos, e que todas essas lutas representam a resistência resiliente às barreiras que visam conter as mudanças sociais revolucionárias em favor da inclusão social.
