    Practicado un asiento en el Registro de la Propiedad, por ejemplo, una inmatriculación, el mismo se encuentra bajo la salvaguarda de los Tribunales, produciendo todos sus efectos en tanto no se declare su inexactitud. Ahora bien, si la Administración Pública fuera efectivamente titular extrarregistral de alguna porción invadida de dominio público, puede y debe, todavía, ejercitar sus facultades de deslinde y recuperación, que son imprescriptibles, no pudiéndose oponer frente a ellas la protección derivada del principio de legitimación ni de fe pública registral, porque la titularidad del dominio público es inatacable aunque no figure en el Registro; ello sin perjuicio de la responsabilidad en la que, en su caso, pudiera incurrir la Administración por no haber cumplido su obligación legal de inscribir registralmente tal dominio público.
