No podemos negar que actualmente el arte, pese a las múltiples y variadas implicaciones que esto supone, es una actividad económica más. Las obras de los artistas se convierten en un agente, como cualquier otro, dentro del juego de oferta y demanda. Si bien, no todas las reglas que rigen el mercado del arte responden a las mismas características que imperan en el resto de sectores. Por ello, resulta interesante analizar los diferentes aspectos de este complejo entramado que conforma el comercio del arte contemporáneo, especialmente orientado en este artículo, a analizar la problemática de otorgar un precio a una obra de arte.

We can't deny that despite the many and varied entailing implications at present time the world of art has turned out to simply become one more economic sector or industry and that within the game of demand and supply the works of artists are sourced out by agents. Yes fine, not all the rules governing the art market have the same characteristics that prevail in other sectors. It is therefore of interest to analyze the different aspects of this complex network which makes up the trade of contemporary art and thus orienting this article in analyzing the problem of establishing a price on a work of art.
