Resumen de De la mística a la política: una lectura de Teresa de Ávila desde Françoise Collin

Este artículo propone una reflexión feminista del Libro de la Vida de Teresa de Ávila a partir de las pautas propuestas por Françoise Collin en el artículo “El Libro y el Código. De Simone de Beauvoir a Teresa de Ávila”. Recogiendo las críticas que hace Collin a Simone de Beauvoir, repasaremos tres momentos del libro autobiográfico de Teresa para mostrar la manera en que sus mecanismos de autorización, tanto en su escritura como en sus acciones, constituyen una forma de legitimar la acción política, entendida esta en el sentido arendtiano de la aportación a un mundo común.

This article puts forth a feminist reflection of Teresa of Avila’s The Book of life following the guideline written by Françoise Collin in the article “Le Livre et le Code: De Simone de Beauvoir à Thérèse d’Avila”. Collin’s criticism of Simone de Beauvoir will be the starting point to analyze three moments of Teresa’s autobiographical book. In this analysis we will concentrate on the mechanisms of authorization that the author uses both in her writing and her actions and how they constitute a way of legitimizing her political action in the Arendtian sense of building a common world.
