Los primeros meses de 2019 transcurrieron con los últimos vestigios de normalidad de la vida cotidiana como la conocíamos hasta ese momento. La noticia de una enfermedad en un continente remoto parecía más un rumor, tan lejano a nosotros, que pensamos que éramos inmunes o demasiado distantes para preocuparnos, sin embargo, la realidad nos alcanzó en el primer trimestre del año.
Nos enfrentamos a una situación sin precedente en la sociedad moderna, como ciudadanos del mundo, ante la tan citada globalización, fuimos alcanzados, aún en las comunidades alejadas de las grandes urbes, por la inminente pandemia. Sin preparación alguna, vivimos un aislamiento social, que afectó nuestro entorno y alteró nuestras rutinas de salud y prevención, actividades cotidianas, domésticas, económicas y educativas.

The first months of 2019 passed with the last vestiges of normality of daily life as we knew it up to that moment. The news of a disease in a remote continent seemed more like a rumor, so far away from us that we thought we were immune or too distant to care, however, reality caught up with us in the first quarter of the year.
We are facing an unprecedented situation in modern society, as citizens of the world, in the face of the much-cited globalization, we were hit, even in communities far from large cities, by the imminent pandemic. Without any preparation, we lived through social isolation, which affected our environment and altered our health and prevention routines, daily, domestic, economic, and educational activities.
