La nieve ha sido un elemento clave en las prácticas medicinales de los pueblos, así como en otros menestres menos graves, es cosa conocida, muy especialmente a partir de la comprobación de los muy numerosos pozos de nieve que han estado en uso hasta mitad del siglo XIX e incluso más tarde, y que han comenzado a catalogarse en el último cuarto de siglo. El pozo de nieve de la Sierra de Burete ya lo presentamos en el año 1984. Lo que presentamos aquí y que hemos ido hallando después es todo un conjunto de variaciones de gran interés para entender mejor la vida cotidiana del pueblo en temas que aún poco años no podíamos ni imaginar. Hablaremos del léxico sobre el tema de la nieve, los pozos de nieve y su propiedad, las familias y trabajos asociados a estas… y otros temas de la historia económica del comercio y explotación de la nieve, además de utilizar documentación cronológica.
The snow has been a key element in the medicinal practices of the villages, as well as in other less serious menestres, it is a known thing, very especially from the verification of the very numerous snow wells that have been in use until the middle of the XIX century and even later, and that have begun to be catalogued in the last quarter of century. The snow well of the Sierra de Burete was already presented in 1984. What we present here and that we have been finding later is a whole set of variations of great interest to better understand the daily life of the people on issues that even a few years ago we could not even imagine. We will talk about the lexicon on the subject of snow, the snow pits and their ownership, the families and jobs associated with them… and other topics of the economic history of the trade and exploitation of snow, as well as using chronological documentation.
