    Los montes desde antiguo han pertenecido al pueblo siendo un bien público en manos del Ayuntamiento. Pero cuando se crea el Registro de la Propiedad en el siglo XIX, las familias más adineradas que conforman la oligarquía local se encargara de eliminar este hecho y convertir el bien público en uno privado. Pero este no será un proceso rápido sino progresivo pero que finalmente acabará afectando a una gran cantidad de hectáreas. Esto provocará una serie de problemas en los años consiguientes y que perdura hasta nuestros días.

    The Hills have long belonged to the town, being a public asset in the hands of the City Council. But when the Property Registry was created in the 19th century, the wealthiest families that make up the local oligarchy were in charge of eliminating this fact and turninig the publics hills into a into a private one. But this will not be rapid process, but rather a progressive one that will eventually affect a large number of hectares. This will cause a series of issues in the ensuing years and which continues to theses days.
