Resumen de TADs ¿Una moda pasajera?

  Los TADs han ido, lentamente, expandiendo el límite de nuestras posibilidades terapéuticas hasta escenarios insospechados hace tan solo unos pocos años. El ortodoncista de este siglo ha de insertar sus propios microtornillos, ya que nadie mejor que él para conocer las necesidades de anclaje y biomecánicas de cada uno de sus casos. Sabemos que no contamos en la actualidad con un microtornillo ideal y, por lo tanto, hemos de adoptar varios grosores, longitudes, aditamentos y sistemas para los diferentes desafíos clínicos, quedando todo ello recogido en una ficha técnico-clínica. En la actualidad, estamos integrando el CBCT con el escáner intraoral para todos aquellos casos de microtornillos acoplados en estructuras metálicas diseñadas digitalmente, obteniendo una excelente adaptación que aumenta considerablemente nuestra eficiencia terapéutica.

  TADs have day by day expanded the limit of our therapeutic possibilities to amazing clinical scenarios just a few years ago. The XXI century orthodontist has the obligation to insert his own miniscrews, since no one better than he knows the anchoring and biomechanical needs of each of their cases. We know that we do not currently have an ideal miniscrew and, therefore, we have to combine various thicknesses, lengths, attachments and systems for the different clinical challenges, all of which are collected in what we called TADtcf, a technical-clinical file. At present, we are integrating the CBCT with the intraoral scanner for all those cases of miniscrews coupled to digitally designed metal-resin structures, resulting on an excellent adaptation that significantly increases our therapeutic efficiency.
