  • Resumen
    • The aim of this paper is to show the intertextual presence of the Memoirs (1935) of the Infanta Eulalia of Borbón (1864-1958) in a tale of Salvador Espriu (1913-1985), Letizia, un conte de Poe sense Poe ni por (1937), and in a novel, Pamela (1983), by Joan Perucho (1920-2003). Espriu refers to an information that the infanta gives about her sister-in-law Queen Maria Cristina of Spain in a hidden attack against the monarchy during the first months of the Spanish Civil War. For his part, Perucho plays an intertextual game with both the tale of Espriu and the Memoirs of Infanta Eulalia in the frame of a novel that compares implicitly the restauration of the monarchy under King Alphons XII (1874-1885) with the Spanish Transition of 1976-1982.
