  El texto de presentación del número 9 de la Revista Latinoamericana de Difusión Científica se centra en analizar la dicotomía autonomía y centralización en el caso de la experiencia histórica de la dirigencia del estado Zulia. Al respecto, se ofrece una síntesis de algunos momentos importantes en el proceso de reivindicación autonomista de la región zuliana, en el marco de la historia de Venezuela. Se concluye que Venezuela no ha practicado realmente su aspiración de organizarse en Estado federal descentralizado, por lo que la autonomía del Zulia requiere de la profundización de iniciativas diversas, entre ellas la enseñanza de la historia regional.

  The presentation text of number 9 of the Latin American Journal of Scientific Diffusionfocuses on analyzing the dichotomy of autonomy and centralization in the case of the historical experience of the leadership of the Zulia state. In this regard, a synthesis of some important moments in the process of claiming autonomy in the Zulia region is offered, within the framework of the history of Venezuela. It is concluded that Venezuela has not really practiced its aspiration to organize itself in a decentralized federal State, so the autonomy of Zulia requires the deepening of various initiatives, including the teaching of regional history
