The purpose of this paper is to bring the earlier Wittgenstein closer to the countermovement against the metaphysical and epistemological assumptions of Modernity; here Wittgenstein’s philosophy is compared, in a way, with the philosophy of Hegel and Nietzsche. This paper is particularly focused on the Cartesian dualism problem —the distinction between the Self and the World— and it offers a reinterpretation of Wittgenstein’s "Tractatus" where this distinction is assimilated and overcome.
