Se tratará de presentar los conceptos de valor y trabajo abstracto de Karl Marx como signo de una ruptura con la tradición filosófica, ruptura para cuya descripción se recurrirá a Las palabras y las cosas de Michel Foucault. Tras aclarar algunos conceptos previos de Marx, se mostrará cómo éstos ilustran la transformación del saber descrita por Foucault, esto es, el desplazamiento del ser por relación a la representación. A continuación se apuntará cómo aparecen el ser, las cosas y el pensar en este espacio de la quiebra de la representación. Por último se intentarán señalar las aportaciones específicas de Marx en el espacio del pensamiento moderno a partir de las nociones de fetichismo y mistificación.

The aim will be to present Karl Marx’s concepts: value and abstract labour as the sign of a break with philosophical tradition, a break which will be described following Michel Foucault’s The order of things. After having explained some previous concepts from Marx, it will be shown how these illustrate the transformation in knowledge that Foucault describes, that is, the shift of being with regards to representation. Then it will be shown how being, things and thinking appear in this framework of the breaking of representation. Lastly, we will try to show Marx’s specific contributions in the framework of modern thinking, on the basis of the ideas of fetichism and mystification.
