Comprensiones sobre la interculturalidad y sus incidencias pedagógicas

    La presente reflexión pretende identificar las principales tendencias sobre las relaciones entre interculturalidad y pedagogía, a partir de la revisión de artículos investigativos publicados en diversas plataformas. Como resultado de la lectura categorial de estos documentos, emergen tres criterios centrales que marcan las tendencias sobre la manera de comprender la interculturalidad y su relación con la pedagogía: el origen de la categoría de interculturalidad; el reconocimiento o no de la colonialidad; y el significado que se asigna al concepto de cultura. En esta indagación se confirma que la interculturalidad es un concepto polisémico, que ha sido comprendido y transcurre desde dos extremos, de un lado, desde la racionalidad de la modernidad sin cuestionar los conflictos y tensiones que implican la diversidad, y, desde otros ángulos de mirada, como una forma de resistencia a las estructuras y prácticas de dominación que excluyen y subalternizan a los sujetos y la naturaleza. Estas distintas formas de comprender implican, a su vez diferencias significativas en la manera de ver y actuar desde lo pedagógico.

    The present reflection aims to identify the main trends on the relationship between interculturality and pedagogy, based on the review of research articles published on various platforms. As a result of the categorical reading of these documents, three central criteria emerge that mark the trends on how to understand interculturality and its relationship with pedagogy: the origin of the category of interculturality; the recognition or not of coloniality; and the meaning assigned to the concept of culture. This inquiry confirms that interculturality is a polysemous concept, which has been understood and is understood from two extremes, on the one hand, from the rationality of modernity without questioning the conflicts and tensions that diversity implies, and, from other angles of view, as a form of resistance to the structures and practices of domination that exclude and subalternize subjects and nature. These different ways of understanding imply, in turn, significant differences in the way of seeing and acting from the pedagogical point of view.
