  La búsqueda de la sustentabilidad ha recibido una atención creciente por parte de empresas, gobiernos y sociedad, y su medición ha fortalecido el concepto de ecoeficiencia. Este hecho ha despertado el interés de investigadores y profesionales, que buscan en la literatura científica abordajes en diferentes aspectos relacionados con el tema. Motivado por la escasez de trabajos relacionados con la sustentabilidad portuaria, el objetivo de este estudio es presentar una revisión de literatura basada en contenido y temática sobre el uso de ecoindicadores en la gestión portuaria. A partir de un análisis bibliométrico con 854 publicaciones, se eligieron 26 estudios más adherentes, que permitieron un análisis integral y crítico de la sostenibilidad económica, social y ambiental en los puertos. Los resultados señalaron las principales variables utilizadas para medir la sostenibilidad portuaria y también revelaron divergencias conceptuales en el uso de los términos sostenibilidad y verde. La selección de estos indicadores, por tipo de puerto, surge como un vacío y posibilidad para futuros estudios.

  The quest for sustainability has received increasing attention from companies, governments and society, and its measurement has strengthened the concept of eco-efficiency. This fact has aroused the interest of researchers and professionals, who search the scientific literature for approaches in different aspects related to the theme. Motivated by the scarcity of works related to port sustainability, the objective of this study is to present a literature review based on content and theme about the use of ecoindicators in port management. Based on a bibliometric analysis with 854 publications, 26 more adherent studies were chosen, which allowed a comprehensive and critical analysis of economic, social and environmental sustainability in ports. The results pointed out the main variables used to measure port sustainability and also revealed conceptual divergences in the use of the terms sustainability and green. The selection of these indicators, by type of port, emerges as a gap and possibility for future studies.

  A busca pela sustentabilidade tem recebido cada vez mais atenção de empresas, governos e sociedade, e sua mensuração tem fortalecido o conceito de ecoeficiência. Tal fato tem despertado interesse de pesquisadores e profissionais, que buscam na literatura científica abordagens sob diferentes aspectos relacionadas ao tema. Motivado pela escassez de trabalhos relativos à sustentabilidade portuária, este estudo tem por objetivo apresentar uma revisão da literatura baseada em conteúdo e temática acerca da utilização de ecoindicadores na gestão portuária. Como método, foi elaborada uma análise bibliométrica a partir de 854 publicações, sendo selecionados os 26 estudos mais aderentes. Os resultados apontaram que as principais variáveis econômicas, sociais e ambientais, estão concentradas respectivamente, em poluição, desenvolvimento regional e custos operacionais, tais resultados são apoiados por uma discussão crítica a qual identificou que os portos tendem a replicar estratégias de gestão similares em diferentes regiões. A implementação de ações sustentáveis em diferentes terminais, desponta como uma lacuna para estudos futuros.
