Resumen
The objective of the solidarity and cooperation initiative of the Open University of Catalonia is to contribute to the solution of problems and challenges of a social and humanitarian nature as well as the development of peace processes, development cooperation and humanitarian action through worldwide virtual education and in alliance with local organizations and plurinational networks with equivalent objectives.
This paper describes the activity of the Campus for Peace in the use of ICT for education and solidarity cooperation, how we work, our aims and results obtained as well as an in-depth reflection on the importance of education in solving actual and specific social and humanitarian problems in specific populations contributing to sustainable development, peaceful coexistence and overcoming poverty.
