Resumen de Paratextualidad y estrategias pragmáticas en la traducción del " Lazarillo ": el caso del asturiano

José Antonio Calzón García

  • Often, the analysis of the translations of literary works does not pay attention to certainpragmatic components —coming from the paratextual elements incorporated to the newversion— which may have a huge impact on the reader. Accordingly, after the recent publication(2019), for the first time, of the Galician version of Lazarillo de Tormes —the final remainingtranslation in an Iberian language—, the Asturian text, prepared by Pablo Suárez Garcíain 2017, is still the most unknown version for the public, owing to the political and administrativestatus of this language, as well as because of its lack of media visibility. Therefore, the main purpose of this research is to study, from a pragmatic point of view, the Asturiantranslation of Lazarillo —without losing sight of the Galician version, because of its linguisticand chronological proximity—, analysing the suitability of the different choices and additionsin the paratextual level, which condition its reading and reception.
