Catàleg, estudi i interpretació funcional d’un conjunt de 58 artefactes amb vincle a l’activitat tèxtil; al filat de fibres vegetals: llana, seda, lli i cotó. Provenen del registre de les excavacions urbanes de Madīna Dāniya (Dénia): d’espais de cases immerses en l’urbanisme del raval gran i de cases i de dos alfòndecs –fanādiq- de la medina, amb contexts dels segles XII i XIII (primer terç). L’anàlisi dels objectes permet avaluar la seua dispersió en al-Andalus i presentar un recull de fonts àrabs que manifesten el pes dels fils i els teixits en les dinàmiques d’intercanvi i del comerç mediterrani dels segles X al XIII.
Catalogue, study and functional interpretation of a collection of 58 artefacts related to textile activity and the spinning of natural fibres: wool, silk, linen and cotton. Based on the records of the excavations of Madînat Daniya (Dénia), from archaeological contexts of the 12th and first third of the 13th centuries in houses forming part of the urban archeaology of the greater suburb and houses and two alhóndigas (fanadiq) of the medina. Analysis of the objects allows us to evaluate their distribution in al-Andalus and present a collection of Arab sources that show the importance of yarn and textiles in the dynamics of exchange and Mediterranean trade from the 10th to the 13th centuries.
