Resumen de Rappresentare la modernità: aura, choc e allegoria nello sguardo del flâneur

Obiettivo dell’articolo è proporre una rilettura del nesso «rappresentazione-modernità» così come questo viene a manifestazione, in modo esemplare, attraverso la figura baudelairiana del flâneur. In questa prospettiva, e assumendo come referente privilegiato dell’indagine la lettura offerta da Walter Benjamin, l’articolo mette a fuoco una costellazione di temi e problemi, affioranti sia dalla produzione artistica di Baudelaire – e segnatamente dalla lirica Il Cigno – che dalla sua riflessione teorica, all’interno della quale particolare rilievo viene dato: 1) all’esperienza dello «choc»; 2) alla polivalenza della nozione di «aura»; 3) al motivo della «fantasque escrime» messa in esercizio, nella Parigi del XIX secolo, dall’artista-flâneur; 4) alla figura concettuale dell’«allegoria», qui ricompresa innanzitutto come dispositivo di produzione del possibile.

The aim of the article is to propose a re-interpretation of the nexus «representation-modernity» as it comes to manifestation, in an exemplary way, through the Baudelairian figure of the flâneur. In this perspective, and assuming the reading offered by Walter Benjamin as a privileged referent of the investigation, the article focuses on a constellation of themes, emerging both from Baudelaire’s artistic production – and in particular from the lyric The Swan – and from his theoretical reflection, within which particular emphasis is given: 1) to the experience of «shock»; 2) to the polyvalence of the notion of «aura»; 3) to the motif of the «fantasque escrime» put into practice by the artist-flâneur; 4) to the conceptual figure of «allegory».
