Resumen de Christine de Pizan: Razão e a educação das mulheres na Cidade das Damas

Following the exposition of Christine de Pizan in The Book of the City of Ladies, it is necessary to point out the main arguments for deconstructing the image of women as it appears in the writings of philosophers, moralists and writers more generally. It is intended, therefore, to highlight the author’s strategy and argumentative elements to deconstruct the concept of the feminine as morally weak and intellectually disadvantaged. This achievement has relevant consequences, and it is intended to indicate its relationship with the assumptions of women’s education. Finally, the aim is to highlight Christine de Pizan’s contribution to philosophy, feminine writings and, above all, women.

Trata-se de, seguindo a exposição de Christine de Pizan na Cidade das Damas, apontar os principais argumentos para desconstruir a imagem das mulheres tal como consta nos escritos de filósofos, moralistas e escritores de modo mais geral. Pretende-se, portanto, evidenciar a estratégia e os elementos argumentativos da autora para desconstruir a concepção de feminino como moralmente fraco e intelectualmente desfavorecido. Tal feito tem consequências relevantes e pretende-se indicar sua relação com os pressupostos da educação das mulheres. Por fim, objetiva-se destacar a contribuição de Christine de Pizan à filosofia, aos escritos femininos e, sobretudo, às mulheres.
