    Históricamente, el comercio internacional ha impulsado los flujos comerciales y fortalecido las capacidades nacionales. Sin embargo, el efecto de los tratados comerciales entre México y Estados Unidos no ha sido claro ni concluyente, al menos en materia agrícola. El trabajo intenta determinar el efecto del TLCAN y T-MEC sobre las exportaciones agrícolas de México a Estados Unidos durante el periodo 1980-2021 a través de un análisis de cointegración utilizando un modelo de corrección de errores. Se encuentra que, aunque el TLCAN no llegó a tener un efecto significativo sobre el nivel de estas exportaciones, hay evidencia de que el T-MEC está teniendo efectos tanto directos como indirectos (a través del tipo de cambio real) en estos niveles. Se concluye que el T-MEC podría cambiar la inercia de los últimos años en los niveles de exportación agrícola, para lo cual será indispensable el cumplimiento de las disposiciones que el propio tratado estipula.EFFECT OF NORTH AMERICAN TRADE AGREEMENTS ON AGRICULTURAL EXPORTS FROM MEXICO TO THE UNITED STATES ABSTRACTInternational trade has historically driven trade flows and strengthened national capacities. Despite NAFTA not having a significant effect on the level of these exports, the USMCA is having both direct and indirect effects (through the real exchange rate) on them. We concluded that USMCA may change the inertia of recent years in agricultural export levels, provided the provisions of the treaty are adhered to.
