Música, músics i instruments en les festes del segon centenar d’anys de la canonització de sant Vicent Ferrer (València, 1655)

    Les festes celebrades a la ciutat de València el 1655 per a commemorar el Segon Centenar d’Anys de la Canonització de sant Vicent Ferrer produïren tanta música que ella mateixa, a l’inici d’un dels tres vilancets que es compongueren per a l’ocasió, detalla alguns dels instruments que hi participaren: clarins, trompetes, dolçaines, xeremies, tabals i castanyoles. Aquesta investigació, partint de la crònica que Marc Antoni Ortí i Ballester escriví d’aquesta commemoració, juntament amb les dades extretes d’unes altres fons i documents tant directes –la crònica del canonge Vicent Gil, diversos documents musicals, els de l’administració de la Seu i els de la corporació municipal de la ciutat de València– com indirectes –les cròniques d’altres festes de la mateixa centúria–, ha reconstruït l’articulació entre música, llocs, moments i individus tant músics com oients– durant la celebració d’aquell segon centenar d’anys.

    The festivities held in the city of Valencia in 1655 to commemorate the Second Centenary of the Canonization of Saint Vincent Ferrer produced so much music that she herself, at the beginning of one of the three vilancets that were composed for the occasion, details some of the instruments that took part: clarinets, trumpets, dolçaines, xeremias, drums tables and castanets. This research, based on the chronicle that Marc Antoni Ortí i Ballester wrote of this commemoration, together with the data extracted from other funds and such direct documents the chronicle of the canon Vicent Gil, some musical documents and the books of the administration of the cathedral and those of the corporation of the city of Valencia– as indirect the chronicles of other festivals of the same century– has reconstructed the articulation between music, places, moments and individuals –both musicians and listeners– during the celebration of 'that second hundred..
