As creacións onomásticas, antro-ponímicas e toponímicas, e mesmo lingüísticas en xeral, que podemos considerar produto do fenómeno xacobeo ou relacionadas con el, son numerosísimas e maniféstanse en moitas áreas culturais de Europa e de todo Occidente, como se vai ver ao longo deste congreso. Aquí voume referir ao nome da cidade de Santiago de Compostela e a algúns outros topónimos e apelativos comúns.

The onomastic, anthroponymic and toponymic creations, and even linguistic creations in general, that can be regarded a product of the phenomenon of the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela or related to it, are numerous and manifest in many cultural areas of Europe and throughout the West, as will be seen throughout this conference. Here I will refer to the name of the city of Santiago de Compostela and some other common place names and nicknames.
